A Letter From Our Founder

​

The idea for Give Families The World came to me while I was traveling with my family in 2022.  

 

My cousin was getting married in Kingscote England and our family was planning to attend the wedding and hoped to travel a bit in Europe together since we would be over there. My parents are currently in their sixties, my siblings and I in our mid to late thirties. We never had the opportunity to travel abroad as a family in our younger years. My parents are incredible people and worked very hard to give us a beautiful childhood. I appreciate them so much and want to help other parents be able to reach goals and give their children incredible experiences. 

 

As we planned this Europe trip we scrimped and saved and researched all the most affordable ways to do things and see everything we could. In two weeks we managed to see Lisbon, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Positano, London, Bath, Kingscote and Amsterdam. It was the experience of a lifetime, I couldn’t believe how kind and inviting people were in other countries. People wanted to share their food, their history and their culture with us everywhere we went. We made friends that we still keep in touch.  

 

The family photos and memories we made are priceless. The stories will forever be told at Christmas and Thanksgiving.  

 

As we traveled around with our parents I thought about the time we have left with them and how I wish we could see the whole world and travel more. Our careers and lives don’t really allow for too much of that, but I imagined ways I could try and help other people have that same incredible experience who couldn’t otherwise afford it.

My goal with this organization is to fully fund several families a year spending a week in another country. We would make the experience easy for them to enjoy by helping to plan the majority of their trip, find and pay for airfare, accommodations and book some tours for them. We would leave open days for them to explore on their own. We plan to provide money for meals and some spending money for souvenirs.  

 

I really look forward to making this dream come to life with the great team we have put together!
